Who inspires me:

I am inspired most by cultures and individuals who live in deep connection with the natural world, maintain a close relationship with the changing seasons, and connect with the eternal ongoing cycle of life and death. I believe in the power of developing an awareness for how these occurrences shape our daily lives, as well as the importance of cultivating a kinship with the ways these experiences persist within ourselves. I honor those who use these connections to center inspiration and creativity in their daily lives, and thank them for being a powerful guiding light.

Credentials:

Masters in Counseling - Somatic Emphasis
Licensed Professional Counselor in Training
MindBody Therapy Facilitator Training - Embodied Philosophy
Restorative Yoga Teacher Training - Das Atemhaus
Certified Yoga Instructor (CYT) 300 - Loom Yoga
Wild Woman Circle Leader Training - The Wild Woman Project

Specialty:

Areas of specialty in my practice include trauma, anxiety/depression, self-esteem, and personal exploration. I have a particular passion for working with people across the neurodivergent spectrum, those who identify as LGBTQIA+, those working to claim their personal identity in any context, and those who want to include spirituality as an aspect of their process. As a somatic practitioner, I work to encourage my clients to expand their awareness to include sensory information found in their bodies as a much needed support system to the meaning-making of the mind.

Approach:

As a therapist, I see myself as a guide, co-conspirator, collaborator, and confidante along the pursuit of my clients’ great journey towards their goals and aspirations. As a somatic therapist, the most powerful gift I can offer is helping my clients fortify their mindbody connection so that they might enhance their ability to truly know themselves. I aim to empower my clients to claim their space in session in the way that most clearly centers their comfort, safety, and care. I prioritize the needs of their body over dominant cultural expectations. In session, I utilize a number of methodologies in support of these perspectives, resulting in an eclectic approach that is inherently customizable to fit each of my clients individually. My approach includes Brainspotting, Sensorimotor Processing, Internal Family Systems, Inner Relationship Focusing, Harm Reduction, Humanistic/Existential Theory, Feminist Theory, Polyvagal Theory, and Narrative Therapy, in addition to guided meditation, restorative yoga, mindfulness practices, and somatic experiences, with the intention of creating a trauma-informed, consent-based, culturally considerate, and non-hierarchal environment. My ultimate hope is that all of you will feel welcome here - not just the person you are today, but the version of yourself you are hoping to become.
