Elle Word: Curious
See Lindsey’s blogsWho inspires me:
I’m inspired by people who are courageous enough to overcome adversity, transcend circumstances and stand up to be counted. I find myself particularly drawn to Dr. Brené Brown – scholar, author and professor. She has believes that vulnerability is brave and shares often of her own experiences related to courage, empathy and shame. On a more personal and local level, I’m inspired by my mentor and friend, Dr. Julie Helmrich – creator of “Shrink N Drink” and clinical psychologist in Milwaukee, WI who has taught me to be human first, and a “fixer” never. I’m inspired by my parents who have defined to me what strength really looks like when you battle addiction. Lastly, I’m inspired by my husband and the concept of love. When you really look for it, love is everywhere and it can change the world in a moment.
